Online Workshop Requirements
Before The Day
Ensure the classroom/s is set up for an online workshop with access to a projector or interactive TV to facilitate access to online platforms (Google Meet, MS Teams, Zoom) so that the students and the presenter can see and hear each other.
On The Day
Please move all desks and furniture to the side to create an open space for students to engage in the activities. Additionally, advise students to wear their sports uniforms or equivalent.
Checking Internet Speed
This can be a simple question to your school IT Person/Department or you can follow the link below to check your school’s internet speed yourself.
1. Follow the link to the https://fiber.google.com/speedtest/ and click on the word GO.
2. After about 30 seconds you will have a report with your upload and download speed.
3. Check with the below recommendations to ensure your school’s internet will support the online workshop.
Recommendations from the Zoom website for group video calling:
- For high-quality video: 1.0 Mbps upload / 600 kbps download. (Bare Minimum)
- For 720p HD video: 2.6 Mbps upload / 1.8 Mbps download. (Recommended)
- For 1080p HD video: 3.8 Mbps upload / 3.0 Mbps download (Ideal)
Please note that all content on our side will be uploaded in 1080p HD and will be downgraded if necessary based on your internet connection's capability.
